Nelson's top tennis juniors will be travelling to Timaru over Queens Birthday weekend to compete in the annual South Island Teams event for 10u and 12u age groups.
This tournament is valuable for Nelson's top juniors to gain quality match experience against the other top juniors around the South Island. Nelson will be competing against Canterbury (2 teams), Southern, and South Canterbury. (There has been a late withdrawl from the Southland team). The boys competition is a four person team and in the girls it is a 2 person team with Nelson fielding two 10u girls teams.
All players will be playing singles and doubles during each fixture.
The Nelson team travelling is:
12u boys - Sam Edens, Sam Chapman, Ben Hazlett, Lewis Miccio
10u boys - Nic Clark, James Mellor, Kyle Aitken, Isaiah Edmonds
12u girls - Anna Driver, Emma Kynaston
10u girls - Brittany Pellowe, Aria Bannister, Evie Walker, Ruby Slattery
